I love the idea of the "Pets on Quilts" quilt show. I am a HUGE cat lover and without fail, every time I lay out blocks or fabric on the floor, George runs right over and lays on top...cute, but drives you nuts. I don't thinks that I've ever taken a picture of him laying on a quilt and of course, when I tried to take a picture of him on one of my quilts this morning, he refused and ran away. I decided to "cheat" a bit and covered him with a vintage dresden feed sack pillow and take pictures before he became upset and ran away again! Here's a link to the quilt show!http://lilypadquilting.blogspot.com/2012/08/the-2012-pets-on-quilts-show-is-here.html
Brilliant idea- he doesn't look too unhapy and the quilt is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteGeorge makes a great model and is very handsome. My cat does the same thing when I want to take a picture of her; no cooperation. The dresden plate cover looks beautiful, too.
ReplyDeleteCute idea!
ReplyDeleteCats do have a way of deciding when and where they will put on their own show. George is a lovely cat- reminds me of our Mars Cat - not quite as orange as Mars is.
ReplyDeleteThanks for participating in the blog hop . Congratulations on your new home.

Anna
George is a gorgeous catboy! Love seeing his picture.
ReplyDeleteThank you for all of the nice comments! This is such a fun blog hop/quilt show! I am crazy about George...he is the sweetest cat ever (even when his butt is on my blocks!)
ReplyDeleteGeorge was a very good sport! He reminds me of our Marvin...that very same 'look' (I bet he's thinking..."ok mom...but remember....this is gonna cost you!"...LOL
ReplyDeleteI paid for it this morning when he woke me up at 5:15...ouch!
DeleteGeorge is such a doll....love the pictures and the Dresden project is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining us at the quilt show!
Thanks for hosting the quilt show...super fun!
DeleteI have a thing for vintage dresdens!
ReplyDeleteMe, too..I look for them at every estate sale that I go to. I like the one in the picture because of the awesome feed sack fabric and the unusual hand embroidery!
DeleteGeorge obviously has a mind of his own!
ReplyDeleteYou have no idea!
DeleteGeorge definitely has his own opinions! Thank you for sharing him with us!
ReplyDeleteHe most certainly does!
DeleteCats never cooperate!
ReplyDeleteThey don't, he won't do anything on "command"!
DeleteToo funny! Isn't that always the case?? :o)
ReplyDeleteIt is always the case and drives you crazy but is cute at the same time.
